Carmel-by-the-Sea, Monterey County — October 26, 2026. Harrison Memorial Library is holding a book club Tuesday, October 27 from 4 to 5 p.m. with Library Director Heather Cousin. The announced selection is “The Housemaid” by Freida McFadden, and the meeting is at the library’s Gathering Place.

The city states that adults and teens may attend and that registration is not required: this is a walk-in activity. Readers may wish to obtain or reserve the book in advance, though the listing does not promise copies for every attendee or require that all participants have finished reading.

Residents can contact Harrison Memorial Library for access or program questions. The city’s event listing confirms the date and program, not an author appearance or a paid ticketed reading.
