Carmel-by-the-Sea, Monterey County — October 26, 2026. Carmel-by-the-Sea will mark its 110th birthday on Saturday, October 31 with a community celebration from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. in Devendorf Park. The city says the gathering is free and open to everyone, with live music by The Hovering Breadcat Band, sponsored by Sunset Center.

City plans include face painting and free hot dogs while supplies last. Families are encouraged to bring a picnic blanket or chair. “Free hot dogs” does not mean unlimited refreshments; supplies and event conditions may change.

The event follows the city’s Halloween parade Friday October 30, which California58 has covered separately. The birthday gathering is a daytime community program, not a second scheduled parade.
